Based in Edinburgh and Boston, MuseumsEtc is a new type of publishing company. Dedicated to enabling museum and gallery professionals to share best practice globally, our books aim to address contemporary topics in a practical, authoritative and stimulating way. 

Like our readers, we're excited by innovation, by change and by action. Our best ideas are driven by, and often come from, the museum community itself. We invite you to propose the topics we should cover. And to share your successful experience by contributing articles, essays and ideas.

Unlike traditional publishing companies, we're committed to turning ideas into books in months not years. We're open about the titles we're working on, asking for the community's views and suggestions. We're inclusive about the content we publish, inviting anyone with interesting ideas and experiences to contribute. And we're keen to get the ideas in our books into the widest possible number of hands - hence our programme of free content distribution.
