The Collections Council of Australia has just released a useful new report on sustainability indicators. Called Towards Sustainability Indicators for Museums in Australia, the 85 page report by Eleanor Adams considers sustainable goals under the four Pillars of culture, society, the environment and the economy. The British Library’s Preservation Advisory Centre has just published a new booklet giving guidance on the preservation of photographs. Preservation of Photographic Material provides an introduction to the history and identification of photographic processes, outlines the causes of deterioration and provides guidance on preservation, including handling, housekeeping, environment and housing.
